Turn-On to knitter-switch Push Buttons

March 2005 – knitter-switch offers design engineers one of the widest and cost effective ranges of push button switches available anywhere. Six families of products provide solutions to applications as diverse as industrial panel building to miniature, PCB mounted, Tact switches.

Miniature push buttons fulfil the needs of industrial users offering 250VAC mains rated contacts and additional features such as, waterproofing, heavy duty action, snap action and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection. A wide range of caps, buttons, bezels and LED illumination are available for panel builders.

The sub-miniature and micro-miniature ranges of switches offer a wide range of contact and mounting options for makers if instrumentation and control panels. With contact operation up to 30VDC at 650mA maximum switching current these PCB or panel mounting switches may be hand or auto-soldered. An alternative to the usual metal switch action is a silent operation rubber version that is widely used in audio and broadcast applications. LED illumination is also available on many models in these ranges.

The recently added family of sub-miniature Tact switches completes Knitter-Switch’s push button switch catalogue. Operating at 12, 24 or 48VDC these low profile switches may be auto-soldered and surface mount assembled. Supplied in sticks or taped the switches are fully washable.

Knitter-Switch use all UL approved materials and contacts in both silver and gold. Switching options include SPDT, DPDT, 3PDT, 4PDT on-momentary, off-momentary, on-on, normally open and normally closed.
